2019 TASH Conference has ended
Each year, the TASH Conference brings together our constituents to share resources and success stories, learn about field-driven best practices, and network within a community engaged in shared values. The Conference is attended by passionate leaders, experts, and advocates from every corner of the disability community. Conference attendees are influential in their fields and communities, and play an important role in the provision of services and supports for the millions of individuals and organizations around the world; and include professors and researchers from leading institutions; those involved in local, state, and federal governments and public policy; special and general educators, and school administrators; self-advocates, adult service providers; students, family members, and many others.  This year’s conference theme, Building Diverse and Inclusive Communities, reminds us that equity, opportunity, and inclusion relies on the input of broad perspectives and experiences.

Elaine Osborne - I am currently an Instructional Coach and Department Chair of a high school in Texas. I have been an IC supporting secondary teachers and students for 8 years. During this time I completed my doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado in special education focusing on the transition of students with exceptionalities into post-secondary environments. I have presented locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally. The majority of my work centers around transition frameworks beginning in early childhood and creating family partnerships, specifically for students with significant support needs. It is my passion and determination to help spread awareness that transition planning must begin as soon as possible and parents and the child must be at the center of the planning process.  I have been a STAAR test item reviewer for 3 years, served as a peer reviewer for multiple journals and conferences. I am married to an amazing man, Tommy who creates learning environments for all children. We have a spoiled Old English Bulldog Hershel, who is exceptional in his own way.
